EMS Week is an annual celebration and recognition of EMS providers. This annual week of recognition is led by The American College of Emergency Physicians and the National Association of EMTs. The theme of EMS Week 2017 is “Always in Service.”
The talented and dedicated full time and part time staff at Community Ambulance Association of Ambler is certainly always in service, providing coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We are so proud and grateful to our professional staff who provide emergency medical care to our friends and neighbors in Lower Gwynedd, Ambler Borough, and portions of Upper Dublin.
To celebrate EMS for Children day during EMS week, we were so lucky to have 2 families come in to visit us who have used our services. Thank you to the Fry and Morral families for visiting us and sharing your stories with our community!
Penny Fry is a vivacious 2-year-old who has found herself in need of our services because she has frequent seizures. Despite these challenges, she continues to have a spirit and personality larger than life, and her resilience is beautiful.
Erika, Brent, Reid, and Claire Morral also joined us. Claire, who is 14 months old, made her grand entrance into the world in the back of a CAAA ambulance, on the PA Turnpike, in the early morning hours of March 12, 2016. Mom and Dad were headed to the hospital, but Miss Claire had other ideas! We’re sure it makes for quite the story.
Community Ambulance Association, Ambler provides service to nearly 3,000 calls each year. We are touched to have of the families we served come to celebrate EMS week with us. While you expressed your thanks to us, we are honored to be of service to you during these times. Thank you for taking the time to join us Morral and Fry family’s!
Next year’s EMS week will be held May 20 – 26, 2018. Stay tuned to our website, blog, newsletter and Facebook pages for information on celebrations to be held in 2018.
